Naming Your Characters

It’s hard to think of a name on the spot; that is, a interesting name for your characters. One thing I found really helpful is to get yourself a name book, such as the one here. Using names like Archer, Bobbie-Jo, and Madge vs. using names like Jack, Mary, and Fred can make your book sound more professional. Also, a name book like this that includes names from other countries and other interesting name facts can be a really helpful resource.

  1. Hey! That’s my favorite name book too! Now if they only made one for last names… Other than a phone book, of course. 😉 Happy writing! John 10:10b
